City of STEM
STEMup4Youth was honored to be invited to host a booth alongside over 200 exhibitors at the LA State Historic Park for the first ever combined City of STEM + Los Angeles Maker Faire. This successful event attracted an estimated 22,000 in attendance! Attendees had fun participating in hands-on STEM activities such as crafting handmade harmonicas, pinwheels, and bee hummers at our booth. They learned about sound waves, the conversion of potential to kinetic energy, renewable energy sources, as well as the values of our organization. Everyone from the exhibitor booths to the stage performers to the keynote speaker Bill Nye the Science Guy made this event a rousing success. Together joining forces, we contributed to the celebration of technology, science, innovation, creativity, and diversity. It was a privilege to participate, and we cannot wait for more opportunities to spread the joy of STEM!
